In addition to hosting famous authors, honeymooning dignitaries, and royal guests galore, this storied London address has an impressive history. We’re sure you’ll love it too. I found it to be a charming, exuberant pied-à-terre that has adapted admirably to the ‘new normal’ – with flawless service and stylish, spacious accommodation.

Porters – in top hats, naturally – can summon a cab at a moment’s notice, not that you’ll need one: Brown’s is a short hop from Bond Street and Regent Street, with Green Park (the nearest underground station) just five minutes’ walk away.

From the hotel in Mayfair, you can walk to Buckingham Palace and Pall Mall in 15 minutes. The Royal Arcade is across the street, with its high-end boutiques and jewellers typical of this posh postcode.

An exceptional experience.

A colourful boutique hotel with an arty vibe. With Kit Kemp-designed interiors, a buzzy restaurant, bowling alley, spa, cinema, and a cozy rooftop terrace with a kitchen garden, you are welcomed into the surrounding Soho bustle. There is character, art, and texture around every corner.

This cluster of unassuming buildings can be found tucked away in a small courtyard behind the bright lights of Piccadilly. The hotel is located in the heart of Soho, near many theatres, shops, bars, restaurants, and galleries, and just a short walk to Mayfair. The nearest Underground station is Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square is five minutes away, and Covent Garden is about ten minutes away.

A minibar, iPod docking station, and air conditioning are available in every room. Additionally, some rooms offer a balcony or a terrace, as well as bathrobes, slippers, and bathtubs or showers.

Having been transformed into a modern grand hotel in 2012, the Café Royal still stands proudly at the corner of Regent Street and Piccadilly Circus and has now been further enhanced with the sleek Art Deco atrium lobby with its striking Venetian chandelier and first-class steak and sushi restaurants.

On the Nash-designed corner of Regent Street with, somewhat confusingly, two entrances – the main one on Air Street and the original 1865 Cafe Royal entrance on Regent Street. Theaterland and Soho are just a short walk away, as are the Royal Academy of Music, Hyde Park, and, of course, you can shop until you drop here.

In addition to 159 guestrooms, the hotel has 54 suites and 7 signature suites. The rooms are meticulously designed and equipped with luxury bathroom amenities, complimentary WiFi, Bang & Olufsen entertainment systems, and media hubs. A gem of a hotel that recently underwent extensive renovations, which included the now much improved GBR restaurant. Despite its history, this hotel is still a convivial and traditional place to stay (the Union Jack still flies above the hotel’s courtyard entrance), while the cocktail bar remains a fine gathering place.

St James’s is a tiny alleyway with such well-established names as Locks & Co Hatters and Berry Brothers wine merchants. You can find shirts and shoes on Jermyn Street nearby, and the hotel is close to Piccadilly (with the Royal Academy) and the West End. Your doorman can tell you how to take a shortcut to Green Park if you ask him.. If you’re in the mood for some fine dining, try the Caviar House on Piccadilly and Prunier on Piccadilly.

The new design of Dukes complements the history and tradition of the company. You’ll find a variety of fine amenities in the rooms, including free Wi-Fi, 24-hour room service, and bathrobes.

There is an Italian marble steam room, a gym and a beauty treatment room in the Health Club. The Dukes Bar, well known for its martinis, has a cool and sophisticated atmosphere, while the GBR, Great British Restaurant, is helmed by Michelin-starred chef Nigel Mendham.

There is also a cigar garden in the hotel, where guests can enjoy fine cigars and cognacs. The hotel’s Drawing Room can also be reserved for afternoon tea.

Your friends will want to hear what you have to say about this hotel – but don’t tell anyone. The rooms at Ormer Restaurant are rock and roll meets Hollywood, and the food is excellent. When you add the excellent, personal service, you get one of London’s most underrated luxury hotels.

I could not have asked for more. Located in the heart of Mayfair, just two minutes from Green Park tube station, Flemings Mayfair has the best of both worlds. Even so, all the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly is effectively blocked out by its location on quiet (some may say abandoned) Half Moon Street. Apart from the main entrance, the restaurant and a few of its private apartments also have their own secluded entrances – making this an excellent choice for travellers looking for privacy.

Eight minutes walk will take you to Buckingham Palace, while ten minutes will take you to Hyde Park. Within 15-20 minutes by foot, you’ll find major landmarks including Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown. Taking the opposite route, you’ll reach Harrod’s in 20 minutes.

Guests often enjoy Afternoon Tea in the brand new Drawing Room, where dining options are also available. A gym is available at Flemings free of charge.

In addition to WiFi access, a desk, a Tivoli radio with Bluetooth functionality, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and in-room entertainment at Flemings Mayfair, which was converted from 13 Georgian townhouses, each luxurious bedroom, suite or apartment is individually decorated. A hairdryer and luxury T-London toiletries are provided in the private bathrooms.

A concierge desk is available at the Flemings, along with a 24-hour front desk and room service. Just 300 meters from the property is the Green Park Underground Station, while Bond Street and Oxford Circus are both within walking distance.

It’s hard to find a more discreet hotel in central London. Halkin excels at displaying self-assured confidence in what it does. It’s easy to walk past the Halkin without even noticing that it’s there; I would guess that this is what the Halkin, as well as its guests, prefer.

Set in a palatial street lined with handsome Georgian properties, the hotel is a five-minute walk from Hyde Park and Hyde Park Corner tube stations. The street is in the heart of discreet residential Belgravia, so there are no shops nearby, but there is an abundance of hushed prosperity with the embassies of Belgrave Square located nearby.

The chic Halkin offers elegant bedrooms, a private gym, and contemporary Basque cuisine. 10 minutes’ walk from Knightsbridge shops, the apartment is located in a peaceful street.

Located about 801 meters from Hyde Park, it is a glamorous London hotel. The hotel’s stylish rooms include a marble bathroom, free Wi-Fi, and 24-hour room service.

The Halkin Bar serves cocktails, afternoon tea, and an inventive tapas menu at Metsa, a contemporary basque restaurant.

Five minutes’ walk from the Halkin is COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, an Asian-inspired spa. The nearest tube station is Hyde Park Corner, 3 minutes’ walk away.

With its Art Deco-style interiors and Twenties panache, this five-star hotel is located in the heart of Mayfair. The service is impeccable and the facilities are top-notch. Aside from immaculate service, the hotel offers an understated but luxurious spa, as well as a public art-cum-suite designed by Antony Gormley.

A quiet Mayfair street perpendicular to Selfridges on Oxford Street: a dream for shoppers and art lovers alike. Located in the heart of the action, but away from the throngs of West End tourists, the location overlooks Brown Hart Gardens. British History states that quarreling in these gardens is actually prohibited by law. Many bus routes are nearby, and Bond Street Underground is just a four-minute walk away.

You can easily access London’s shopping from the hotel and it offers free WiFi.

The hotel offers a wide range of accommodations from standard guest rooms with large king-size beds to studios and suites with original artwork and antiques. There are heated floors in the luxury bathrooms.

Le Magritte Bar and The Colony Grill Room are popular local hangouts, while the Gatsby Room is a great place for afternoon tea.

The hammam and spa offer grooming and relaxation treatments, and all guests have free access to the gym, sauna and steam room.

A landscaped garden square overlooks the hotel’s quiet location. It takes just ten minutes to walk to Selfridges, and you can reach Hyde Park in the same amount of time. The Tube and car are convenient ways to reach theaters, art galleries, and luxury shopping.
